IAP Lookup
Query App Store app info, pricing, and in-app purchase markers. Individual apps can reveal IAP items and prices.
How to read this page now
The page matches apps quickly from the US store first, then fills in public IAP signals and price ranges for other popular regions automatically.
Every region sits in one row so public prices and IAP signals are easier to compare.
On mobile the comparison keeps its structure with horizontal scrolling.

About IAP Lookup
In-App Purchases (IAP) are a critical part of the App Store economy. Many apps appear free but hide core functionality behind paywalls. Before downloading, it pays to check: Does this app have IAP? If so, what are they and how much do they cost? Our IAP Lookup tool answers these questions before you install.
Search by app name, Bundle ID, or App Store Track ID. The tool queries the iTunes Search API to fetch app metadata — price, universal support (iPhone + iPad), age rating, and description — then automatically visits the actual App Store product page via a proxy to detect in-app purchase markers and extract IAP item names and prices when publicly available.
For apps with visible IAP listings, you will see a detailed breakdown of each purchase item and its price. The tool distinguishes between confirmed IAP (detected on the store page), pending (not yet verified), and apps that appear to lack IAP. You can also switch between regional App Stores (US, China, Japan, etc.) to compare IAP availability across markets.
Tips: Use Bundle ID search for precision — each app has a unique reverse-domain identifier like "com.developer.appname". If IAP items are not visible, try switching to the US App Store, which typically has the most complete public listing. The "Fill Bundle ID" button helps you chain searches: after finding an app, click it to search by its exact bundle ID for more detailed results.
How It Works
The IAP Lookup tool queries the App Store’s product metadata endpoint to retrieve the complete list of in-app purchases available for a given app. By providing a Bundle ID (the unique reverse-domain identifier like com.developer.appname), the tool fetches the app’s IAP catalog including item names, descriptions, price tiers, and types.
Apple classifies IAPs into four types: Consumable (one-time use, like game currency), Non-Consumable (permanent unlock, like ad removal), Auto-Renewable Subscription (recurring billing), and Non-Renewing Subscription (fixed-term access). The tool labels each IAP with its type so you can distinguish between one-time purchases and recurring commitments before downloading the app.
The tool also shows whether the app supports Family Sharing for its IAPs — indicated by a special flag in Apple’s metadata. IAPs with Family Sharing enabled can be shared across up to six family members without additional purchase. This is particularly valuable for evaluating the true cost of apps with paid content.
Common Issues
- Bundle ID not found: verify the exact Bundle ID. You can find it in the app’s App Store URL (after /id... use the numeric ID in a lookup tool) or by searching for the app on the Price Compare page.
- IAP list shows fewer items than expected: some IAPs are region-specific and only appear when querying from certain App Store regions. The tool queries the US store by default.
- Subscription pricing varies: auto-renewable subscription prices displayed are introductory or standard tier prices. Actual pricing may differ based on region, promotional offers, or Family Sharing status.
- IAP type unknown: some legacy IAPs use older schemas that do not clearly indicate type. In these cases, check the App Store listing directly for more detail.
How to interpret in-app purchase lookup results
App Store in-app purchase information may vary by region, language, and page structure. Wolffy attempts to identify IAP items from Apple data, but users should always confirm final terms in the App Store checkout flow.
Different IAP types
Common IAP models include one-time unlocks, consumables, auto-renewing subscriptions, and non-renewing subscriptions. A free app can still place core features behind IAP.
A failed lookup does not mean no IAP
Network proxies, Apple page changes, and regional limits can prevent detection. The page avoids presenting incomplete data as a definite conclusion.
What to check before buying
Review trial length, renewal period, cancellation path, Family Sharing, refund rules, and developer reputation. Extra purchase restrictions are recommended on family devices.
